BELIEFS

We hold these beliefs humbly…but also with experience, trust, and conviction. You do not need to agree with everything we believe in order to belong at Revolution, nor do you need to fully understand what each of these points means (if we are honest, no one can claim to have perfect understanding of them!). Instead, our hope and prayer is that we will all keep wrestling with our faith, keep asking questions, and keep putting what we are trying to believe into practice…because this is exactly how our faith in God grows.

Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God, who died for our sins and rose from the dead so that we as people could have an eternal relationship with God. (1 Corinthians 15: 1-8; John 3:16) 

The Bible is the inspired word of God, our source of truth that leads to the best life possible. (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:105)

Every person has worth as a creation of God, but all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Jesus as Savior and Lord. (John 3:16)

Those accepting Christ are called to repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized into him. (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38)

The Church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and it exists to bear witness to God’s perfect love and to edify those who place their trust in Jesus. (Ephesians 4:1-16)

Jesus Christ will one day return to this earth and reign forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
