Giving
We all benefit from generosity: it is a reflection of God’s overwhelming kindness towards us, a tool for sharing each other’s burdens, a way to exercise a loving heart, and a weapon for fighting greed and fear. When we give of our resources–to a church, friend, charity, or cause–we step out in faith that living after God’s example really is good for us.
Revolution is an entirely self-sustaining church, which means we exist because folks like you contribute to this ministry. But we also know many people are wary of giving money to churches, so we want to say two things very clearly:
First, it is more important that you grow in practicing generosity than it is for Revolution to survive. If you don’t feel comfortable giving to this church (or any church), give somewhere. Exercise those muscles. Use what you have to make your community a better, healthier, and more loving place for everyone.
Second, if you do want to support Revolution financially, know that Revolution is committed to generosity, too. We participate in a traditional “tithe,” which means we give out 10% of everything that comes in to other ministry efforts. 5% of our income goes to support future church plants through our lifelong partnership with Stadia. And 5% goes to support hands-on work here in the community of Annapolis, including local food pantries like this one at Heritage Baptist, the Anne Arundel County Food Bank, homelessness relief work through our partners at Light House, debt relief efforts alongside Undue, and more. If you want to begin living more generously, these are great people to support.
If you feel ready to partner with us here at Revolution, here’s how you can do that:
