Revolution’s Family Retreat is returning for a sixth straight year! Our hope is that this Retreat will be a time of rest, fun, and connection including all members of our Revolution family. Whether you’re new to camping or an old pro, Family Retreat is for you, and we hope you’ll join us!

WHEN // May 16-18, 2025 (but feel free to come late or leave early)

WHERE // Camp Harmison, Berkeley Springs, WV

WHO // Everyone who is part of Revolution

COST // $7 per night per person for tent camping or $30 per night per camper vehicle

What to expect

Camp Harmison is a large fielded area surrounded by trees at the top of a mountain overlooking a creek in West Virginia. It’s a totally private campground just for us. In the middle of the camp, there’s a covered pavilion open on all sides with picnic tables and a fireplace. Connected to the pavilion is a large kitchen with a refrigerator, multiple stoves and ovens, sinks, etc. You’re responsible for all your own food and cookware. On the back of the pavilion, there are men’s and women’s restrooms including toilets, sinks, and showers. There is a large field to play games in, some playground equipment for kids, hiking trails around, and a beautiful chapel overlook. Nine hookup sites are available for those who own campers, and there’s lots of space for tent camping. We’re not scheduling or planning anything at Family Retreat! Eat, sleep, and have fun whenever you want!

If you want to come to Family Retreat, but you’ve never been camping, this should be a fun, easy first experience. Many people would love to help you set up your new tent, and with a kitchen and bathrooms available, we’re not REALLY roughing it.

You may come as early as 3:00 pm on Friday, May 16, but we realize most people won’t come until after work on Friday. Some people will need to leave Saturday evening to be home the next day, but we’re welcome at Camp Harmison until 2:00 pm Sunday, May 18. The point is: with no schedule to worry about, you are free to come and go whenever works best for you, and you only need to pay for the nights you stay.

Some rules from Camp Harmison:

  • Drugs, alcohol, fireworks, and firearms are prohibited.

  • Dogs are welcome but must be leashed, and you must pick up after their poo.
