Weekly Announcements:
BELONG // FAMILY MEETING KEYNOTE
Revolution held our Fall Family Meeting this past Saturday, but if you weren’t able to join the festivities that evening, we want to share some ways you can catch up! If you would like to listen to Kenny’s keynote address sharing lots of information about the year ahead, future plans for action and generosity in our city, and our plans for a new model of church governance in 2020, you can find it on our podcast feed, or by clicking on the “Messages” tab on the Revolution website. If you’re a bit short on time and you would prefer to read the keynote address, you can find the script on Revolution’s sermon blog HERE. And lastly, if you would like to see the handout from the evening’s event, you can check it out HERE.
BELIEVE // WORSHIP NIGHT AT THE FOUNDRY
The Revolution Band has been invited to lead worship for a Worship and Prayer Night at The Foundry in Baltimore on November 10. The event is being organized in support of Stadia, a church planting organization that helped get Revolution’s story started in 2010 and who continue to plant hundreds of churches each year all around the world. The event is free, and we want to encourage everyone to come out and join us in worship!
BECOME // BUILDING A NEIGHBORHOOD PLAYGROUND
On November 23, HACA and Elevate Church in Eastport are collaborating to build a new playground in a local neighborhood. If you would like to help out, the first crew is meeting on-site to dig holes and lay foundations from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and then a second crew will be installing the structure from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bring a wrench or a screwdriver and come on out to help support our local community!
BECOME // THANKSGIVING MEALS FOR GERMANTOWN FAMILIES
On Sunday, November 24, we will be shopping for and packing boxes of Thanksgiving dinners for the families of children at Germantown Elementary School. To make this work, we will be having only one service that Sunday, at 10:00am. At the end of service, we will send families/groups out to the grocery store with a shopping list, and then folks will meet back at Germantown to pack boxes and set them aside for distribution on Monday. This is a tremendous way for us to love and care for our partners at Germantown Elementary…and to show real and meaningful kindness to the families of our immediate community. Please make a point of joining us that Sunday, and invite friends to come with you to shop and pack boxes!
BELIEVE // CHURCH PLANTING STORIES
As we study the Book of Acts together, we are sharing stories from church planters in our area. Our hope is that these stories remind us that Revolution is NOT ALONE. This week, we want to share a video from Michael Bartlett, the lead planter of Collective Church in Frederick, MD, as he answers the question, "Why Church?" You can find the video on our Facebook page or by clicking HERE.
BELIEVE // OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN MORE ABOUT BAPTISM
We will be celebrating a few baptisms soon, and if you would like to learn more about what baptism is, why it is important to us at Revolution, or if you have questions about being baptized, please email Kenny at kenny@revolutionannapolis.com. There is no pressure, and he would love to talk with you about your questions about this very important part of Christian belief, teaching, and practice!
BECOME // ONLINE GIVING
If you would like to give to our ministry in Annapolis, please consider setting up re-occurring giving through our safe, secure web portal HERE.
BELONG // REVMIDDLE AND REVHIGH
If you are a middle schooler or high schooler, Revolution’s youth group meets during second service on Sundays! Make sure to be there…and if you have any questions, please get in touch with our team leader, Shawn Livingston, at shawn@revolutionannapolis.com.
