Weekly Announcements:

BECOME // MEDICAL DEBT FORGIVENESS

More than $5,700 has come in so far! We are continuing to raise funds on behalf of churches in Maryland to purchase and forgive medical debt in our state. ALL money donated will go directly to purchase and forgive debt through our partnership with RIP Medical Debt, a non-profit company aiming to abolish the medical debt currently bought and sold by collections agency throughout the United States. Right now, RIP has control of a debt portfolio for Maryland totaling $4.5M. We can purchase and forgive that debt for a cost of $45K, or one penny to the dollar. This is a tremendous opportunity to make an enormous difference in the lives of our neighbors!

For more information or to donate, please visit revolutionannapolis.com/debt. Also, tell this story! Share it on Facebook, post it on Instagram, and ask your neighbors or coworkers if they can help — let’s make this a true community-wide effort and together, let’s take another step towards a dream of a state without medical debt at all. We are forgiven people, forgiving people. This is such a great way to put that belief into practice!

BELONG // ADVENT SERVICES & COVID-19

With the current increase in coronavirus case numbers across our state, we are unfortunately going to have to hold all of our Advent services exclusively online. However, there are still ways to see one another and participate in worship! If you’ve been at Revolution for a Christmas season in the past, you know that we always try to make this season special, and this year is no different. So, beginning on November 29th, we will be making our weekly services videos more interactive by using a more traditional liturgy (or order-of-service) including elements like the lighting of the Advent candle, corporate prayers, and various Scripture readings. And THIS is where you come in! We would LOVE for you (or even your whole family) to record some of these service elements so we can use them in our weekly videos. All parts have already been scripted out, so what I’m asking for is for you to send us an email if you’re interested in helping out (kenny@revolutionannapolis.com). Then I will send you a “script” for your brief part (1-2 minutes in length)! It will be awesome to see each other, and to participate in worship together again…even virtually. Thank you for helping to make this season special!

BELONG // ON THAT NOTE…

Be on the lookout next week for a small package on your front step! We want each and every one of you to know that we are in this together: Revolution is still here, and God is still moving in us and in our city!

BECOME // AND ON THAT NOTE…

I could really use volunteers next Monday and Tuesday to deliver these packages! In order to get something on the doorstep of all 90+ homes in our church community, I’m looking for drivers who could take a “route” early next week. If you have time and would be willing to deliver 5-10 packages, please let me know: kenny@revolutionannapolis.com. Thank you!

BELIEVE // DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS?

As we continue to gather online, one consequence is that there are fewer opportunities for casual conversations or even quick words with Kenny or other members of our Revolution staff. If you ever need to talk about where you are or where you would like to go in your relationship with Jesus, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Kenny anytime by email (kenny@revolutionannapolis.com) or by phone (803.727.8500). He loves questions!!

BECOME // LOOKING FOR YOUTH VOLUNTEERS!

As our youth group begins to grow, we are looking for more adult volunteers to help lead discussions and plan events for young people in our church. This is such important work…with such wonderful kids! If you would be interested in joining the team, please get in touch with Kenny (kenny@revolutionannapolis.com).

BECOME // FOOD PANTRY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

If you’ve been looking for a chance to serve our community on a weekend, we have an opportunity for you! LoveAACO is sponsoring a “pop-up pantry” every Saturday at Tyler Heights Elementary. Thousands of guests are being served through this location, and there is a high need for helping hands. To learn more, click the link HERE and sign up to help out!

BELONG // REVMIDDLE AND REVHIGH

If you are a middle schooler or high schooler, Revolution’s youth group is for you. If you would like to connect in this season, please get in touch with our team leader, Bailey Nilsen, at revyouth@revolutionannapolis.com.

BELONG // STAY IN THE LOOP ALL WEEK LONG!
