This past week, we delivered Advent bags to the people of our church. If you have not received a bag, please let us know and we will get one to you! We are excited to participate together in the Sunday services this coming month as we look forward, with hopeful anticipation, to the celebration of Christmas. Thank you for being a part of this church family!
BECOME // MEDICAL DEBT FORGIVENESS

As for our progress, more than $8,000 has come in so far! We are continuing to raise funds on behalf of churches in Maryland to purchase and forgive medical debt in our state. ALL money donated will go directly to purchase and forgive debt through our partnership with RIP Medical Debt, a non-profit company aiming to abolish the medical debt currently bought and sold by collections agency throughout the United States. Right now, RIP has control of a debt portfolio for Maryland totaling $4.5M. We can purchase and forgive that debt for a cost of $45K, or one penny to the dollar. This is a tremendous opportunity to make an enormous difference in the lives of our neighbors!

On Tuesday, December 15, Meredith and Kenny will be hosting a Christmas Trivia game over Zoom! The game will start at 8pm, but log in a few minutes earlier to be placed on a team. BECOME // LOOKING FOR YOUTH VOLUNTEERS!
As our youth group begins to grow, we are looking for more adult volunteers to help lead discussions and plan events for young people in our church. Let’s help our neighbors at the Lighthouse bring Christmas cheer to children and families experiencing homelessness this holiday season. You can learn more about how to help our community this season HERE.
BECOME // HAT AND GLOVE DRIVE
The Assistance League of the Chesapeake is looking to collect hats and gloves for children in need this holiday season. If you would like to help, you can drop off donations at Taylor Funeral Home on weekdays between 9-4.

If you’ve been looking for a chance to serve our community on a weekend, we have an opportunity for you! LoveAACO is sponsoring a “pop-up pantry” every Saturday at Tyler Heights Elementary.
