Weekly Announcements:

BECOME // MEDICAL DEBT FORGIVENESS

AMAZING NEWS! We are AGAIN raising funds on behalf of churches in Maryland to purchase and forgive medical debt in our state. ALL money donated will go directly to purchase and forgive debt through our partnership with RIP Medical Debt, a non-profit company aiming to abolish the medical debt currently bought and sold by collections agency throughout the United States. Right now, RIP has control of a debt portfolio for Maryland totaling $4.5M. We can purchase and forgive that debt for a cost of $45K, or one penny to the dollar. This is a tremendous opportunity to make an enormous difference in the lives of our neighbors!

For more information or to donate, please visit revolutionannapolis.com/debt. Also, tell this story! Share it on Facebook, post it on Instagram, and ask your neighbors or coworkers if they can help — let’s make this a true community-wide effort and together, let’s take another step towards a dream of a state without medical debt at all. We are forgiven people, forgiving people. This is such a great way to put that belief into practice!

BELIEVE // COMMUNITY-WIDE COMMUNION SERVICE

On October 7 at 6pm, we will be participating in an Annapolis-wide outdoor communion service being held at Calvary United Methodist Church (301 Rowe Blvd). Many churches from many different denominational backgrounds in our city are coming together to receive communion as one, united church body. We are very excited about this, and it’s something Kenny has been working towards with other pastors for a long time! Please consider coming out to participate. The event will be outdoors and socially distanced, with masks required and individually-packaged communion elements available. If you feel comfortable, grab a chair and come out to join us in this event!

BELONG // FALL GROUPS ARE HERE!

You can still sign up to participate in a group this fall! There are all sorts of options, from weekly online Bible studies to social groups for youth and young adults. There are also our Local Groups, which are meeting both in person and online this season. If you missed the sign ups, never fear…instead, click HERE!

BECOME // FOOD PANTRY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

If you’ve been looking for a chance to serve our community on a weekend, we have an opportunity for you! LoveAACO is sponsoring a “pop-up pantry” every Saturday at Tyler Heights Elementary. Thousands of guests are being served through this location, and there is a high need for helping hands. To learn more, click the link HERE and sign up to help out!
