Weekly Announcements:
BELONG // AN IN-PERSON EASTER SERVICE!
On Easter Sunday, we will begin Phase 1 of our reopening plan, as outlined in our Family Meeting in January. That means we will be gathering in-person, outdoors at the Millers’ home (500 Wilson Rd, in Annapolis) on April 4 at 10:30! This will be our first in-person meeting in six months(!), and we really hope you will be able to join us. Please bring a chair and a mask, and if you’re comfortable, you are also invited to bring a lunch for a picnic after the service. If you feel uncomfortable gathering in-person yet, please know that that is absolutely okay, and we will post a video of the service on the website Sunday afternoon. No matter what your comfort level, we are glad you’re a part of this church community, and we are excited about continuing to move towards a return to regular in-person gatherings as the virus dissipates and the year progresses.
BELIEVE // READING THROUGH THE PSALMS
You can find our Revolution Study Guide for Psalms 1-41 HERE and Psalms 42-72 HERE. As we work our way through all 150 psalms this year, our Preaching Team will continue to keep this document updated!
BELONG // FAMILY RETREAT
We have some pretty exciting news! Current virus/vaccine projections should allow us to finally reschedule Revolution's 2nd Family Retreat for April 22-25! Registrations are open for 2 weeks only so sign-up today! For more info, go to our Family Retreat page.
BELONG // MULTI-CHURCH MEN’S GROUP
This spring, we will be launching a new men’s group in partnership with a few other local church congregations. We are “joining forces,” so to speak, for three reasons: first, we want to make sure there enough guys to make the group successful (we’re aiming for 8-10). Second, we want to push ourselves out of our comfort zones just a bit. One of the great things about being a small church is that most of us know one another! But when it comes to fostering growth and accountability, this can sometimes be a hindrance, too: since we already know and like one another, it can be harder to push one another towards change. Finally, we want to seize a chance to build deeper relationships with other church communities—and the unique voices and perspectives within them. If you are interested in participating in this group (including casting a vote in the coming weeks for when and how often the group will meet!), please let Kenny know (kenny@revolutionannapolis.com).
BECOME // CURRENT LAY LEADERSHIP OPENINGS
At our 2021 Family Meeting, we announced 3 openings on our Lay Leadership Team for the next term. These openings are in: Church Life, Sunday Services, & Generosity. If you would like to learn more about these openings—or apply to serve with our Lay Leadership Team!—you can find a summary of the roles HERE. If you would be interested in applying—or if you have any questions for us about the team—reach out to Kenny at kenny@revolutionannapolis.com!
BECOME // “SHOE SOME LOVE” WITH ANNAPOLIS LIGHTHOUSE SHELTER
For someone experiencing homelessness, simple tasks like getting to something to eat or finding a safe place to rest can take 1000s of steps per day. Through their “Shoe Some Love for Your Neighbor” drive, the Lighthouse Shelter in Annapolis hopes to provide our neighbors struggling with homelessness with quality shoes as we enter the warmer months. BELIEVE // LEARN MORE ABOUT BAPTISM
If you have any questions about what it means to become a Christian or how to take that “first next step” in your faith, reach out to us at info@revolutionannapolis.com. You can also always reach out to Kenny to ask questions through email, chat on the phone, or even grab a cup of coffee to talk in person (at a safe social distance, of course!).
