Weekly Announcements:
BELIEVE // CHRISTMAS EVE 2021
This year, we are partnering with other churches in our local network for a community-wide candlelight service at 6pm on Friday, December 24. We are excited to make this time as special as possible for friends, neighbors, and family! We’ll have more news about how you can get involved in the weeks ahead. We are not gathering on Christmas Day, Saturday, December 25.
BELONG // NEW YEARS DAY SERVICE ONLINE
This year, New Year’s Day falls on a Saturday, so we are going to be moving the weekly worship service back online for that week! You will be able to find the service on our homepage by noon on January 1. This will be our annual year-in-review service, which is always an exciting time for our team! We hope you will find time next weekend to worship from home with us.
BELONG // SPRING CHURCH LIFE EVENTS SURVEY
Our Church Life Lay Leader, Maggie Young, is asking for each and every one of you to give just a few minutes of your time to complete a survey intended to help us find the silliest, funnest, coolest, and bestest events and groups for Winter/Spring 2022. Bowling? Basketball? Birdwatching? Non-”B” activities? Let us know your favorites…and share a few ideas of your own! You can take the survey HERE.
BECOME // CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR THE RESIDENTS AT BOWMAN PLACE
The residents of Bowman Place, an apartment senior living community between West St. and Clay St. in Annapolis, have asked the churches of our city to help them throw a Christmas party on December 23. If you’d like to help gather decorations, make donations, or set up a fun space for these kind folks, you can reach out to Isaac Vineyard, pastor of College Creek Church and the event coordinator, today. Email him at isaac@collegecreekchurch.org!
BECOME // LAY LEADERSHIP OPENINGS
As we discussed at our annual Family Meeting, we have 2 new openings on our Lay Leadership Team in the areas of Weekly Services and Generosity! At Revolution, Lay Leaders are volunteers who serve on our governing board and work alongside our lead pastor to move our church forward by praying for and developing specific “areas of oversight” unique to each of the 6 Lay Leader positions. Their job is not to make everything happen! Rather, it is to add their unique perspective and passion to leadership conversations and decision-making for Revolution. This makes the Lay Leadership Team is a great place for someone to serve our church while also growing in their own ministry gifts! We would love for all of you to be praying about whether or not you can step in to help on this team, and if you’re interested in learning more about the roles, the team, or leadership in general, please reach out either to Kenny (kenny@revolutionannapolis.com) or the Team’s current chairman, Andy Guzik (asguzik@yahoo.com). We are hoping to have new leaders in place in the first quarter of 2022!
BECOME // MEN’S GROUP CONTINUES THURSDAYS
Did you know Revolution has a weekly small group just for the guys in our community? We would love for you to give it a try: it’s a great place to build deeper relationships and discover real discipleship. We meet on Thursday night from 7-8pm, with locations around town varying week to week. To get in the loop, please email Andy Hanauer at andrew.hanauer@gmail.com!
BELIEVE // LEARN MORE ABOUT BAPTISM
If you have any questions about what it means to become a Christian or how to take that “first next step” in your faith, reach out to us at info@revolutionannapolis.com. You can also always reach out to Kenny to ask questions through email, chat on the phone, or even grab a cup of coffee to talk in person (at a safe social distance, of course!).
