Catch Up with the Last Year!

Weekly Announcements:

BELIEVE // IN-PERSON SERVICE RESUMES THIS SATURDAY*

We will be gathering in-person this Saturday evening at 5:30 at 1740 Forest Dr. Please join us, if you feel comfortable doing so! We will be requiring masks indoors and enforcing social distancing in the auditorium, per current city and state ordinances. We are thinking of this week as a “set up the tent!” kind of Saturday…which means that it’s a week when we are choosing to be faithful and present in our community for those who want to worship; however, we also want to encourage you to be careful and to stay home if you are feeling sick (even if you don’t think you have Covid-19!). In order to minimize exposure between family groups on Saturday, RevKids will not be open. Also, in order to provide everyone with an opportunity to keep with and participate in our service, we will be recording our gathering and sharing the video online Sunday morning. As we navigate the next few weeks, we will be doing our very best to balance the importance of offering a safe space to gather and worship for the people in this community who feel safe doing so with our responsibility to love our neighbors–particularly those who are working in environments like our schools and hospitals, which are already stretched to the breaking point. We will get through this, and we will all be able to be together again soon!

BELONG // SPRING ACTIVITIES AND SPRING GROUPS ARE AROUND THE CORNER!

Over the Christmas holiday, our Church Life Lay Leader, Maggie Young, asked folks to complete a brief survey to help us come up with creative ways to enjoy time together in the new year. That survey was a success, and we are looking forward to offering new social opportunities in the months ahead! Now, just to get this pesky Omicron variant out of the way first…

On that note, our Discipleship Lay Leader, Andy Guzik, is also looking for help: if you have an idea for a group this spring, if you would be willing to safely host a group in your home, or if you are interested in leading a group, please reach out to Andy and let him know (asguzik@yahoo.com)! We’ll be building the “groups menu” over the next few weeks!

BECOME // LAY LEADERSHIP OPENINGS

As we discussed at our annual Family Meeting, we have 2 new openings on our Lay Leadership Team in the areas of Weekly Services and Generosity! At Revolution, Lay Leaders are volunteers who serve on our governing board and work alongside our lead pastor to move our church forward by praying for and developing specific “areas of oversight” unique to each of the 6 Lay Leader positions. Their job is not to make everything happen! Rather, it is to add their unique perspective and passion to leadership conversations and decision-making for Revolution. This makes the Lay Leadership Team is a great place for someone to serve our church while also growing in their own ministry gifts! We would love for all of you to be praying about whether or not you can step in to help on this team, and if you’re interested in learning more about the roles, the team, or leadership in general, please reach out either to Kenny (kenny@revolutionannapolis.com) or the Team’s current chairman, Andy Guzik (asguzik@yahoo.com). We are hoping to have new leaders in place in the first quarter of 2022!

BECOME // MEN’S GROUP CONTINUES THURSDAYS

Did you know Revolution has a weekly small group just for the guys in our community? We would love for you to give it a try: it’s a great place to build deeper relationships and discover real discipleship. We meet on Thursday night from 7-8pm, with locations around town varying week to week. To get in the loop, please email Andy Hanauer at andrew.hanauer@gmail.com!

BELIEVE // LEARN MORE ABOUT BAPTISM

If you have any questions about what it means to become a Christian or how to take that “first next step” in your faith, reach out to us at info@revolutionannapolis.com. You can also always reach out to Kenny to ask questions through email, chat on the phone, or even grab a cup of coffee to talk in person (at a safe social distance, of course!).

BELONG // STAY IN THE LOOP ALL WEEK LONG!
