BECOME // UNITY SERVICE THIS SATURDAY!
This Saturday, at 2:00 pm, we will be partnering with several other local churches here in Annapolis–including Heritage Baptist, College Creek Church, Revive Church, John Wesley UMC, Mt. Zion AME, Eastport UMC, & Calvary UMC–for a combined worship service at the Banneker-Douglass Museum downtown. The theme for the service will be unity, and we will be gathering that afternoon in place of our Saturday service that week. We are incredibly excited about this chance to gather as One Church…and we truly hope you will join us. Seating is limited, so please arrive early…or, if you’d prefer to follow along online, you can watch the service HERE.
BECOME // YOUTH SHOOTING IN ROBINWOOD NEIGHBORHOOD
According to the Annapolis Police Department, on Tuesday evening, two 11 year olds were “shot indiscriminately” in the Robinwood public housing community off Forest Dr. Please join us today and throughout this week as we pray for our neighbors. Our friends at Downtown Hope, who have an existing partnership with community leaders in the neighborhood, are organizing a time of prayer and comfort this Sunday. If you would like to join them, please reach out to Joey Tomassoni at joey@downtownhope.org.
BELIEVE // ASH WEDNESDAY EVENTS AND SERVICES
On Ash Wednesday, March 2, churches from around Annapolis are partnering together to offer opportunities for all interested Annapolitans to receive the imposition of ashes as a symbol of our common mortality and in anticipation of the great hope we will celebrate on Easter Sunday. Drive-through sites will be open throughout the day and hosted by clergy from churches around the city. In addition, several churches are holding services during the day and in the evening to celebrate the beginning of the Lenten season. All are welcome!

BELONG // SPRING GROUPS SIGN UP & GROUP FAIR!
Next Saturday, on March 5, we will be launching our first full slate of Revolution groups since the spring of 2020…and having a Group Fair! That evening, after service, we will be holding a potluck in the Fellowship Hall where you can meet group leaders and ask questions about their groups. What kinds of groups might you see, you ask? In addition to our Local Groups (which will be continuing) and some of our mainstays (like Meredith’s “Bestseller Book Club” and our Thursday night Inter-Church Men’s Group), we will be starting a book study (on Pete Enns’s The Sin of Certainty, led by Fred Miller), a group discussing the hit podcast from last year, The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill (led by Kenny), and moving our Saturday night “After Service” group to Sunday mornings! You can sign up today by clicking HERE…and we can’t wait to see you on March 5!
BECOME // IN SEARCH OF: REVKIDS VOLUNTEERS!
As we continue moving forward with reopening RevKids during our weekly services, we need volunteers! If you are ready to step in to help not only look out for the children of our church, but help to foster their first steps towards faith, please reach out to our Children’s Pastor, Shawn Livingston, at shawn@revolutionannapolis.com. You’ll be glad you did!
BECOME // TUTORING OPPORTUNITIES AT STANTON CENTER
Are you looking for a way to serve your community? Do you have free time in the afternoons from 4-5? If so, we are building a partnership with the Stanton Center and our friends at College Creek Church to provide after school tutoring for students in Annapolis! There are opportunities for all commitment levels, including to participate in, co-lead, or lead evening workshops for older students focused on practical skills like woodworking, auto repair, and furniture refurbishing. If any of these opportunities sound good to you, email Pastor Isaac Vineyard of CCC at isaac@collegecreekchurch.org!
BECOME // FOOD PANTRY OPPORTUNITIES
A lot of you know about our ongoing partnership with Heritage Baptist Church on their weekly food pantry: that pantry operates each and every Tuesday from 9:30-11:30, with prep work happening on Monday evenings. They could still use our help! So, if you are interested in serving during either time slot, please let us know at info@revolutionannapolis.com and we can get you connected ASAP. But there’s another opportunity to help our neighbors who are experiencing food insecurity, too! We are eager to build a new partnership with our friends at Eastport United Methodist Church, who operate an enormous food pantry/clothing drive/market event every 3rd Saturday morning! Go check things out–and sign up to help!–this month on February 19. You can learn more by reaching out to their lead pastor, Chris Broadwell, at chris@eastportumc.org. He would love to hear from you!
BELIEVE // KEEP YOUR DAILY DEVOTIONALS GOING!
Many of you discovered the blessings of a daily devotional routine over Advent with Scott Erickson’s book, Honest Advent. But now that the holiday season is over, have you been able to keep the good habit going? If you’re looking for help, consider Scott Erickson’s other books, Prayer: 40 Days of Practice, May It Be So: 40 Days with the Lord’s Prayer, and his latest, Say Yes: Discover the Surprising Life Beyond the Death of a Dream. All are available on Amazon, or on his website: scottericksonart.com. If you’re looking for a change of pace, you might also consider joining our Online Bible Study, which uses free daily devotionals through the YouVersion app and discusses them together on Monday nights over Zoom! To sign up, get in touch with Jon Connelly (jonivy82804@hotmail.com) or use the form at revolutionannapolis.com/groups. No matter what, we hope that 2022 is a year of new habits and deep growth!
BECOME // MEN’S GROUP CONTINUES THURSDAYS
Did you know Revolution has a weekly small group just for the guys in our community? We would love for you to give it a try: it’s a great place to build deeper relationships and discover real discipleship. We meet on Thursday night from 7-8pm, with locations around town varying week to week. To get in the loop, please email Andy Hanauer at andrew.hanauer@gmail.com!
BELIEVE // LEARN MORE ABOUT BAPTISM
If you have any questions about what it means to become a Christian or how to take that “first next step” in your faith, reach out to us at info@revolutionannapolis.com. You can also always reach out to Kenny to ask questions through email, chat on the phone, or even grab a cup of coffee to talk in person (at a safe social distance, of course!).
