Weekly Announcements:

BELONG // REVOLUTION, COVID-19, AND STAYING CONNECTED

As we continue in these new rhythms of our lives, our tendency is going to be to isolate ourselves. But as a church family, we are here for one another! If you are feeling alone, please don’t be afraid to reach out to a friend or to our church staff: we are still working, and our phones are always nearby! You can reach our lead pastor, Kenny, by email at kenny@revolutionannapolis.com or by phone at 803.727.8500. And if you are missing someone, please send them an email, a text, or make a phone call, too! We are all in this together, and we are a family: you matter here, and we are here for you.

BELONG // WEEK 6 VIDEO CHALLENGE

This week, make a quick video letting us know who you are most excited to hug when this is all over. Send your video to us at info@revolutionannapolis.com so we can share it on Sunday!

BELIEVE // WEDNESDAY NIGHT “THEOLOGY ON TAP”

This Wednesday, we are talking through the Easter sermon: what does it mean to believe an “unbelievable” story? What makes stories believable/unbelievable, anyway? How does the resurrection challenge the expectations of Jesus’s contemporaries…and how can it challenge our expectations, too? Join us for an open-forum conversation this Wednesday night at 8:30! You can join on Zoom by clicking this link https://zoom.us/j/7975456192 and entering the password: revolution. The password step is a new protection on Zoom’s end of things. So, once work is done, kids are asleep, and pets are fed, grab a beverage of your choice and log on with us!

BELIEVE // LET’S READ THE BIBLE TOGETHER!

Have you ever wanted to learn more about the Bible, but you haven’t known where to start? Our lead pastor is always eager to lead or help facilitate new Bible study groups to help make that happen! You can message Kenny any time at kenny@revolutionannapolis.com to see about starting a weekly study over coffee before work, connecting with our online Bible study group, or starting something totally new for others to be a part of!

BECOME // DONATIONS NEEDED FOR THE ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY FOOD BANK

The AACo Food Bank is in desperate need of donations to keep up with an increase in demand. You can drop frozen foods and shelf-stable items off at their main location off Crownsville Road, or you can be a part of a virtual food drive and shop online for groceries to be delivered directly to the food bank. To take part, learn more HERE!

BELONG // TRIVIA NIGHTS, COOKING SHOWS, AND OTHER IDEAS?

Since it is increasingly clear that we are all going to “be here for awhile,” we want to explore putting together some church-wide video events that can help us see each other and share our talents and gifts. If you have a talent or an idea for a Zoom meeting or video, share it with us! Kenny is already planning a trivia night for next week, and we know there are some talented cooks, musicians, and perhaps aspiring game show hosts out there! Send ideas to us at info@revolutionannapolis.com and we will keep everyone posted about upcoming events!

BELIEVE // BOOK AND SOUP GROUP!

We have decided to continue with our quarterly book group that explores social and moral issues around us. We'll use Zoom and the church's ID number of  7975456192 to have a virtual meeting, Sunday afternoon on April 26, 4:00pm to 5:30pm.- obviously without shared soup this time! Our book this quarter is "Be the Bridge - Pursuing God's Heart for Racial Reconciliation" by Latasha Morrison. From the back cover: "Change begins with an honest conversation among a group of Christians willing to give a voice to unspoken hurts, hidden fears, and mounting tensions." It's an easy but challenging read. We welcome you to the conversation! See Fred and Cathy Miller for questions.

BECOME // DONATE BLOOD WITH AAMC

With hospitalizations on the rise, our community is in desperate need for blood donations. You can still help! The Blood Donor Center at Anne Arundel Medical Center is open Monday-Wednesday from 8:15am - 3:45pm & Thursday-Friday from 7:15am - 2:45pm. To learn more about Blood Mobile drives in your area, you can check them out HERE.

BELONG // INFO ON THE 2020 WOMEN’S RETREAT

This Fall, all women in our church community are invited to attend the 2020 Revolution Women’s Retreat for a time of fellowship, for the kindling of new friendships, and for focused time with God. The weekend getaway will be held at a beach house in Rehoboth, DE on October 23-25. Sign ups have already begun HERE. Make sure to reserve a spot!

BELONG // REVMIDDLE AND REVHIGH
